Agreed. But that's Viceland for us.. Don't think we had the viewing numbers to keep it at 8:30pm AEDST sadly, even if the AEDST Livestream was a few minutes behind in real time (I did enjoy the "silence ads" on livestream, peace and quiet)

Also forgot to mention, this was recently updated on the 2025 season episodes over in China. We're getting the 2023 episodes (labelled Season 15 in Australia).

It seems that #IfYouAreTheOne (or the CCP) has recently updated their A.I systems on the recommended girl segment, plus have a new "A.I" girl on the screens doing the announcing.

Ditto. Actually went out this Friday (I'm not usually a social butterfly) and ended up missing tonight's episode.

SBS also had to filter the Sponsor/Product Placement from the couch, thus the heart graphics.

Artificial Intelligence. Basically China's way of using that technology.

The sad thing about this version is that we only getting 2 candidates per episode in the new season of the SBS edited version. The "least interesting" candidate (I'm assuming as dictated by SBS editors) is usually cut from broadcast.

Not sure if he's still around for this broadcast, the sound guy's name was Ma Jia for the entirety of the classic seasons (2009-2016) and the last season of V2.0. The bloke was a legend in those years.

They've just become less frequent in the recent seasons. We've skipped a few seasons in Australia.

I think he only has the Sydney restaurant now. From my last visit to that area the restaurant closed won.

One thing i'm a tad surprised at, no mention of Meng's own Noodle Restaurant so far.
