This play with 7 minutes left in the game is where we use our second to last timeout. I think it’s the right play here to keep the possession, but it causes us not to have one to use during our scoring drought later on (as we need to save the last one for end of game scenarios)

With Kerr using a lot of timeouts early in the game to try to keep us in it and Draymond calling one midway through the 4th to avoid a jump ball off a steal, not having an extra timeout to use during that stretch compounded the dry spell

I see the drought in the 4th more of a combination of OKC’s good defense and some close misses + bad shot selection from the Warriors rather than an indication that we need to go out and get another scorer

Warriors have shooters, I don’t see the benefit from Lauri outweighing what we’d have to give up. I can see an argument that we need star power over depth in the playoffs, but our depth is the blueprint that has been working for us so far this season

Podz had at least two of these this game, I can just imagine him and Slo-Mo compare notes and technique during practice

We also had a few layups during this span that rolled around the rim and out. One of those falling would have been a game changer

Podz and Kyle Anderson post put on a slow step masterclass around the rim, kept getting OKC defenders up in the air then finishing around them

Warriors were up 96-93 after Kyle Anderson’s and-one. They then went on a long dry spell until the final minute of the game. It’s tough because we called our second to last timeout early on a Draymond steal, so Kerr didn’t want to use his last timeout to try to stop the scoring drought

He did end up being removed from the arena. I don’t like this rule though. The flagrant happened on the court, let the kid continue to support his team from the bench

I understand that this has to happen by rule after a flagrant 2, but I don’t get why something that happened on the court would result be being kicked out of the arena. Unless something happens on the sideline, let the kid stay and continue to cheer/support the team from the bench.

I was a podz defender, but after learning this, I’m not sure I can back him up anymore…

Saw something saying a trade package for Cam Johnson “would most likely include De’Anthony Melton, additional expiring salary, and a future first-round pick”. This would be a steal if that’s all is required to get him. Fit-wise, I also don’t think a Kuminga-Cam trade would be crazy.

Both Lindy and buddy provide great spacing at shooting guard, I agree that Melton was a big loss and Lindy likely needs to take another step up, but he has shown a lot of promise on both ends of the court that he can do this

I don’t understand all the podz hate. Podz is in a shooting slump, but he still handles the ball well and fits the warriors system; he holds his own on defense, pushes the pace in transition, and continues to rebound at a high rate. We’ve seen what he can do last year, the shooting will come around

The warriors definitely have things they need to work out, but I don’t understand why the warriors would be desperate for a trade. Wiggins was the #2 option during the 2022 finals run, and we are seeing that version of him again this year
