You *have* to do this to drive well in all recent Mario Kart titles. It's really good because it allows you to be precise, Air Riders not letting you do this is really annoying...

16 GB and 32 GB cartridges possibly would not be much cheaper than 64 GB. High tech storage has really high fixed costs and I don't think it would be worth the opportunity (for devs or for Nintendo)
