There are multiple sections on its body colored like different precious stones such as black opal, green jasper, malachite, tiger's eye, hawk's eye, etc., and smaller gems emerging as if the dragon is made of cracked rocks with gems poking out from it. These gems and cracks along its body are colored in a variety of colors based on different gems including yellow/orange citrine, dark red zircon, brighter red ruby, deep blue sapphire, turquoise or purple alexandrite, purple amethyst, emeralds, and lighter green peridots. The snout of this dragon is colored with bands of purple, turquoise, blue, yellow, and orange, based on a rainbow fluorite.

Fortune Reader, Full Color, Sept 2025 Based on the Smaugust prompt, Oracle, is a lightly colored black and white drawing, with some areas shaded lightly to heavily in colored pens, of a mostly serpentine dragon coiled slightly on itself and facing right. It has a long head with a black rectangular eye framed by a dramatic eyebrow, and it has two forelimbs with three clawed fingers each, the left holding open a book in front of it, scrawled in illegibly to the audience, while its right is bent closer and holding a card face up with two crescent moons back to back. Its head is topped by sinuous horns that curl back and straight up and are adorned in jewelry and henna-like tattoos. The body and horns have light brown shading in a few places, the left forelimb blending in with the sandy yellow/brown loosely shaded ground. A pair of lightly red shaded bat wings sprout from the shoulders and have rings pierced through them. The dragon is covered in more tattoos, including many eye motifs along the tail and elbows, and a long water dragon amongst a wave on its back, curling in and out of view. That is shaded blue and turquoise while others are black and white. The tail has red-gold jewelry pieces, including bangles on the end, and a fabric-looking purple piece.

Bound Wings, Sept 2025 Black and white somewhat sketch-like pen drawing of a feathered serpentine dragon with no other limbs (an amphiptere) facing left and positioned like a backwards S, covered in lines that cross over each other in geometric ways, many wrapping around the snout, torso, and wings. Most of the lines are thin like fishing lines, woven threads, or webs, but a few are vine-like and have small leaves. The dragon has short horns extending from the back of its long almost horse-like head, and several feathers that are for adornment rather than flight are on either side of the base and near the end of the curling tail.

A Mess of Ink, Aug 2025 Semi abstract, surreal pen piece depicting a wyrm-like dragon with a head dripping with ink, a semi long body made of a line of sheet music, a back wing or tail folded like origami and decorated in scribbles, a tic-tac-toe board that ended in a draw, and deliberate strokes of pen like a made up language, and branch-like claws splayed out on a map in made up languages depicting two land masses, the one on the right bigger and more broken up than the one on the bottom left, with dark water for a sea between them. The map has musical notes, splatters of ink, and scribbled out sections, presumably done by the little dragon, and there are cubes on the map, as if it was a battle map or a game map.

One of these started as a character that I already had in mind from my planned fantasy novel, and the others have been more integrated into my world building. Most of the true dragons have single elemental magic.

The first resembles my MC's love interest but is a Water dragon with a Warm alignment.

Ripples- Duck Magic The first entry in my series based on my magic Birds in the world building for my fantasy setting. Ducks combine the magic of Water, Flowers, and the Wild Hunt of the fey into Ripple magic, a magic of abundance, of the gradual effects of actions taken by oneself or by others, and of the power to be found in embracing change instead of fighting it. Water magic is teal colored, Floral magic is pink, and Hunt magic is green. Description: Colored gel pen illustration of a duck with dark teal green feathers that are mottled with light and dark green on the head, light green and blue with dark green on the neck and bottom of the body under the wings, which are in shades of pink and a few spots of yellow. The top of the body has pink and yellow among the other colors, and the breast has pink, blue, and dark green. The beak is orange/pink. The duck sits on a pond with pink, blue, teal, and green ripples radiating out from it.

Constellations- Raven Magic- WIP The third entry in my series based on my magic Birds in the world building for my fantasy setting. Ravens combine the elucidating and pattern recognition aspect of Celestial magic with the vast expansiveness and scope of Sky magic into Constellation magic. This is a magic of cosmic fortunes, history, wisdom, and lofty visions. They tell fortunes of the grander sorts, of figures that have importance in the grand scheme of things, altering the course of history, down to relatively fine details. Ravens are often described as enigmatic, their typical way of speaking obtuse, making the fortunes they offer fairly open for interpretation, especially since they often speak of the past, present, and future as a continuum rather than distinct phases. Purple is associated with Celestial magic, and blue with Sky magic. Description: Colored gel pen illustration of an upright raven with its body facing right at an angle and head turned over its shoulder to the left. It is darkly shaded on the head with purple and some blue, while the upper chest wings are shaded with more blue as well as purple. The rest of the front of the bird is purple-black with gold constellations. The bird's eye is black with white spots like stars. Behind the bird is a partially filled in purple sky with white stars.

Nebula- Starling Magic The second entry in my series based on my magic Birds in the world building for my fantasy setting. Starlings combine the balancing magic of Celestial magic with Sky and Illusion magic. Nebula magic is the magic of the freedom of uncertainty, of the true obscuration of the future despite people's deep desire to know it thoroughly, and the joy of mimicry. While many Birds with Celestial magic predict the future with a degree of accuracy, if not precision, Starlings offer visions that may not be true. Sky magic is blue, Illusion magic is turquoise, and Celestial magic is purple. Green is used to indicate the fey nature of this Bird, since Illusion magic is one that belongs to get beings. Luminous Depths, Aug 2025 Mixed pen illustration of a serpentine, bioluminescent deep sea dragon for Smaugust, curled in an S shape, with the tail at the top and head at the bottom. The body of the dragon is mostly black with shades of dark blue, purple, and dark teal, and there are brightly colored spots, with the biggest being green spots resembling the patterns of orcas and behind large barely visible black eyes. More elongated yellow, light green, and light blue spots are scattered along the trunk while smaller spots of varying colors including pink and orange line the spine. Large colorful glowing fins emerge from the middle back and under the chin, and the tail to the neck is lined on the dorsal side and underside with a continuous multicolor fin. The background is almost completely filled in with black pen, with some shapes cut out from the darkness, including squid and shark shapes near the top with light coloring in teal/purple and yellow/orange respectively, bubbles throughout, and a few strange deep sea inspired creatures, as well as distant glowing green, yellow, and purple lights. By the dragon's head is a colorful creature with a dolphin shaped body and a head with a mouth that is like the trunk of an elephant with teeth lining it. There is a large glowing coelacanth in the middle left by an orange snake, and an eel-like creature at the top with an orb by its mouth like an anglerfish near the squid. Framing everything is the very long and thinner tail and body of another creature, another sea serpent that is much bigger and has a small sail on its back like a sailfish.

Sea Turtle Reef, Mar 2020 Acrylic painting of a green sea turtle swimming down through turquoise waters lit by sun beams and facing a lovely and warm toned coral reef with various kinds of corals and anemones, sea grass, and stone. Several tropical fish including clownfish, angelfish, tangs, and others swim among the reef. In the background a few schools of fish are visible, and there are a few large jellyfish, one very close to the sea turtle.

Pangender Snowbank, Aug 2025 Digitally painted landscape with a pink and peachy orange sunrise sky, the sun slightly blurry and yellow, rising over a mostly pink river with chunks of floating ice that reflect the peachy pink river, and a distant snowbank lined with trees marks the horizon on the right, and curves into the river slightly. Leaping for Life, Aug 2025 Abstract deer leaping upwards with a curved back, curly multipronged antlers, and loosely defined legs, with looping lines crossing through and overlapping the deer and forming the background, which is fully filled in with color. Some areas are scribbled a lot and have small white spaces as a result, most of which are filled with spots of color. Others are open and have patterns, cross hatching, color fills, several spots with blended colors, and a section to the left with colorful repeated lines interrupting each other. The deer is breathing out bands of color and is colored in multiple patterns. The colors of the piece are a full spectrum from pinks and purples to yellow, orange, red, greens, and blues.

Same. I've got a fridge that dispenses water, and I consider that fancy. Our dishwasher can delay running for a few hours, and that's also fancy. If those functions stop working but all the others are still fine, like how the towels setting on our dryer seems to not work as it used to, that's fine.
