Everyone says that pay is the #1 driver…so maybe we should fix the policies that keep the pay so low for certain fields.

I get the pay gap. Still goes against why commissioned officers exist. Fix policy so you can pay technical DACs more and move them when needed. We shouldn’t water down the officer corps with techies who don’t know what a BCT is.

And we do incentive pay for other specialty branches (Avn, Med, etc).
