NO elected government official (including state and local) should be able to invest in anything directly while in office. Set it up in a blind account, managed by an adviser of the same caliber as the layperson to ensure they don’t lose their investments. NO direct input from the elected official.

When I was little, the U.S. military came to our home at gunpoint and took me and my family away. We were imprisoned for years in barbed wire camps simply because we were Japanese American. I have spent my life telling that story, hoping it would never be repeated.

They HAVE been doing that and then some! They have NO POWER! Until WE show up to vote out MAGA, Dems can do nothing substantial. Filibusters are only delays. Did you miss the last one they did, recently?

That’s not an answer. WHAT DO YOU WANT, more than speaking out, joining protests, stepping in to protect immigrants and constituents. WHAT MORE can they do? They can talk to the Rs, but you know the Rs are controlled by Drumpf. They won’t listen. I blame the Dems who didn’t vote out of spite.

It already is. Criminals are dressing up in cosplay and attacking women in broad daylight. NOW!

Like getting arrested for defending and protecting constituents?

What do you want that’s different than leaders being arrested while standing up against this admin?

They are and getting arrested in the process. It’s just not being reported like it should be, just as the protests are not being covered.

We’ve bombed Iran. And dismantled our joint terrorism task force. And sent a third of the FBI to help ICE. And gutted the National Security Council. And a drunk guy is in charge at the pentagon. And our intelligence allies probably won’t share intel with us. Because people couldn’t vote for a woman.

It’s because they don’t understand forecasting. They ALL (everyone I’ve heard in Lives) say “That’s guessing. It’s not proof. Let’s wait and see.” No kidding!? But past history/data paints a really good picture of potential events. “Wait and see” is TOO LATE. They don’t get it.

Unfortunately, those who have the means (bank accounts) are not the ones wanting/needing to leave. And therein lies the issue.

It’s bizarre how much people will twist themselves up to try to deny the similarities of what’s going on now, to what happened in 1930’s Germany. People who lived through it and fought it are STILL ALIVE. They know history is repeating itself.

Let's make this clear:

Just because we demand that our justice system continue to use DUE PROCESS does not mean that we support gangs or illegal activity.

But snatching people off the street and disappearing them without due process crosses the fucking line.
