We travelled on from Salzburg to a site just outside Vienna. We ended up staying there for 5 nights at β¬34. We visited Vienna and the next day decided to catch a train to Budapest, rather than drive. We booked a cheap hotel there and stayed the night. Another day, we took the train to Bratislava

After leaving Cochem on the Mosel, we drove to Burg Eltz, a beautiful castle hidden in a wooded hollow. The castle is not open at the moment. In season, they operate a shuttle bus down to it - we didn't walk all the way as it was a bit of a hill

I've been away quite a lot in January. We did a cruise round the Canaries with Marella followed by a family ski holiday in Alpe d'Huez. I'm now at home for a while, so I'm decorating the kitchen
