@razbuten.bsky.social I just watched your most recent video, and as a dad of two 15 month olds, it hit me like a truck. I remember played Dark Souls 2 for the first time while holding them. I watched a play through of DS2 recently and was transported back to holding my newborns. Thank you, friend.

Not listed - I played Outer Wilds this year. Not a new take, but probably one of the best games… or best media experiences ever made.

Here is my Nintendo Year in Review and my PlayStation Wrap-Up. I finally tried out Dark Souls in late 2023. I get what the fuss is about. Risk of Rain Returns was my most surprising favorite, as I’m usually not huge on Rougelikes. Then, Stardew Valley, because of *widely gestures*

I’m falling into my natural tendencies as a social media lurker, against my best attempts to put things here

I realized I really enjoy the collecting aspect of it (rather than the battle side of things) so I’ll probably reengage with the new set. I’m hoarding hourglasses right now…

The initial few weeks of fun of Pokemon TCG pocket has lapsed. Like when Pokemon go came out in 2016, I am now asking “what next?” I’m still opening my packs every day to look for a couple of cards, but I’m ready for an expansion and a new meta.

I can be overwhelmed or underwhelmed, but I can’t be whelmed.

Or, at least, I think theoretically I could but the way I have set up my life seems to have made it very difficult.

I would love to spend more of my life whelmed. Someone whelm me.

I saw a video recently of someone who bought a 5 inch monitor. They used it for a music player display, but you could probably put a lot of different things on it that you need to be aware of in the background.

I only have an end of the semester project to finish, so sure, I’ll start Persona 5. I’ve heard it won’t eat up TOO MUCH of my time
