They’re just “I’m ok jack trolls”.
Maybe even a little traumatised for having to rush and make the decision to move their lives wholescale during the pandemic.
The idea that sacrifice was in vain is too much to bear.

There’s nothing exceptionalist about standing up for your rights and asking for something better.
In fact clearly indicating that the UK is in a worse position than other EU countries because of Brexit is the very antithesis of exceptionalism.
These people just want us to put up and shut up.

Those look like trolls to me.

But I’m happy to be giggled at until people decide to get behind the idea of change in this ridiculous Brexit we seem to be stuck with.

Exactly.
I’ve always felt that moving fully in one direction “just because of Brexit” was rather like giving in to the division Brexit forced upon us.
Expecting anyone to move to preserve their way of life wasn’t protecting them.
And this is one of the things wrong with the Withdrawal Agreement.

Had the audacity to leave his home country and be a foreigner abroad.
And yet he doesn’t like it much when you want to do similarly for part of the year.
Right so we should call out this rabid xenophobia when it works the other way too. It’s not ok to be xenophobic to British people like @anglo-european.bsky.social

But I suspect what that associate citizenship would mean to people is mostly about mobility in Europe to live/work/study there.
Aside from the fact we didn’t give up the rights.
You can’t resent giving up something you’ve freely chose to do.
So the truth is probably that you didn’t choose to do so
…and instead, your rights were taken from you as a result of poor government decisions.
Why do you think he doesn’t pay tax? That’s a bit of an allegation to make.

07.10.2025 22:57 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0The 90-in-180-day problem isn’t the fault of the EU 🇪🇺.
It’s just something that’s happened over time (and has made Brexit feel much worse for those most acutely impacted).
That’s why we’re encouraging politicians in the UK to rethink their approach to international mobility in our continent.
They already have taxation without representation 🤐

What has Andrew’s post got to do with tariff arbitrage?
Why don’t you quote the whole thread so that people can see the whole context?

Something similar happened to me. A recruiter in CH🇨🇭told me back in Jan 2020 that their client didn’t want any Brits because they were worried we would leave or be forced to leave after Brexit happened.
And Brexit hasn’t even happened back then.
Loss of FOM is the bigger problem in that regard.
It’s simpler than that.
Brussels can’t order member states to let people in for longer than 90 days simply because Brussels doesn’t have the competence (yet).
Member states seem to feel limited by the current wording of the Schengen Treaty but I’m not so sure they need to treat it as limiting.
Yes
