Itβs true!
But Iβm happy to be giggled at until people decide to get behind the idea of change in this ridiculous Brexit we seem to be stuck with.

The 90-in-180-day problem isnβt the fault of the EU πͺπΊ.
Itβs just something thatβs happened over time (and has made Brexit feel much worse for those most acutely impacted).
Thatβs why weβre encouraging politicians in the UK to rethink their approach to international mobility in our continent.
A thread π§΅
So what do we mean by the 90-in-180-day problem?
1. We donβt mean the total number of days is necessarily the problem.
The problem is the control period of 180 days, the fact it has to be shared across 29 different countries and the fact it is not a per-visit allowance.
1. Did you know that some third countries have special historic bilateral agreements that give their citizens additional time in the Schengen zone.
op.europa.eu/en/publicati...
Undoubtedly.
Same for all the EU citizens living in the UK too. They should have had the same voting rights as Commonwealth Citizens from Ireland, Malta, Cyprus, India, Australia, South Africa β¦and more!
Weβd have picked number 4.
But 2 or 3 would have been better than number 1.
You?
"If we lose hope, we're doomed."
We must continue Dr. Jane Goodall's mission and all fight for the future of the planet.
If Starmer spent less time obsessing about Reform and more time focusing on how to mitigate or undo the damage of Brexit then I think things would start to feel much better in the UK.
03.10.2025 03:46 β π 88 π 17 π¬ 8 π 1Yes thatβs the problem.
Thatβs why Brits need to stand up for the rights and freedoms that have been taken away from them.
They wonβt magically reappear unless people become more vocal.
On Monday evening at 6:30pm Young European Movement will be launching their Open Doors, Open Future campaign.
This is about improving public acceptance of mobility in Europe for young people.
Please come along and support their work.

03.10.2025 16:06 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0If youβre privileged to still have your Freedom of Movement in Europe then I can understand why you might not want other Brits to get it back too.

No, Brits donβt have 2 x 90 days in France. You know this Frank already.
β‘οΈ They *only* have 2 x 90 days in France if they stay away from every other EU country.
Which means no business trips to Germany. No conferences in Brussels, no holidays in Greece, no visiting children living in Spain.
π¬π§ π«π· Many people assume Brits get 2 x 90 days in France each year after Brexit.
But they *only* get that if they stay away from *every* other Schengen country.
Which means no business trips to Germany. No conferences in Brussels, no holidays in Greece, no visiting children living in Spain.

Thread on solving the 90-in-180 day problem π§΅
The solutions to the 90-in-180 day problem are many and varied. Politicians really have **no** excuse for inaction.
Any of the following provide models for solutions or are solutions in themselvesβ¦
If you run a pro EU starter pack or anything related to freedom of movement I would very much welcome being included in it because I am trying to reach more people about European mobility.
And same for @savefom.bsky.social too.
Itβs certainly falls a long way short of what people need, young and old.
30.09.2025 00:20 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0This is deliberate. They want to make us believe visas are normal

Good grief. Wow. π€¦ββοΈ
Itβs like sheβs talking about Erasmus or the idea of an βErasmus yearβ but it comes across as talking about Freedom of Movement.
There are plenty of us who can talk more credibly and accurately about Freedom of Movement @savefom.bsky.social
#VoicesofLostFOM #SaveFOM
Omg. It didnβt take long for mainstream media to forget what Freedom of Movement actually was.
This really is mind blowing.
@savefom.bsky.social
Immigration is only toxic because it is understood to include illegal arrivals and refugees.
Most types of immigration and approved/desired and happens because they issue visas.

26.09.2025 00:04 β π 1 π 1 π¬ 1 π 07. So if you care about mobility in Europe then you need to keep posting, commenting, tweeting and retweeting. You also need to engage your MP too. Giving up is not an option if you actually want change to happen.
26.09.2025 00:04 β π 2 π 1 π¬ 1 π 06. If you donβt care about EU citizens paying Β£16 to visit the UK, well then it will likely continue.
26.09.2025 00:04 β π 1 π 1 π¬ 1 π 05. If youβre not that bothered about paying 20β¬ to visit EU countries, then guess what: they will realise that youβll accept these fees.
