Why doesn't the US have a general strike? Well you can point to culture or whatever but I think structure is of not immediate use here: does the US have organizations and institutions it can use to network, organize and mobilize a general strike? No.

The strongest allies are not always in your face. Often they are quietly working behind the scenes with little to no recognition.

The test of a true ally is not only what people say and do when everybody is looking but also what they say and do with few people looking.
