Frustrating, we are absolutely desperate for someone who just knows how to put the ball in the back of the net. Wissa walks into this team the second he’s fit.

Nick Woltemade to Bayern Munich: VfB Stuttgart’s unconventional striker has captured the imagination in Germany Nick Woltemade’s prospective transfer from VfB Stuttgart to Bayern Munich is the talk of the country. On a visit to Stuttgart, Adam Bate speaks to a host of legendary Bundesliga strikers to find out w...

Good little read here on what Woltemade is about & shows how highly he is thought of by some over in Germany. Massive fee, but something had to give and if Bayern Munich viewed him as a potential long term successor to Kane then we could have just landed a serious talent. No pressure wor kid. #NUFC

Loan with option to buy for Jackson (but not obligation) and I’ll board this train with you. Would be quite happy to see the back of Isak now.

As desperate as we are for a striker I think we need to walk away from the Wissa deal after how he’s gone on. We can’t as a club or fan base be outraged at Isak’s behaviour and then welcome Wissa with open arms when he’s doing the same thing .#nufc

Incredibly misguided and obviously hoping this will force the move but overall the statement is actually pretty vague. It doesn’t say what promises were broken or that he can never play for the club again. ‘That’s where things are for me right now’ implies that this position can still change.

All things considered I’d have taken a point away to Villa on opening day, but can’t help feeling a bit frustrated after that. We all know what issues need solving so hopefully this Wissa transfer happens next week. Decent first outing for Elanga too. #nufc

A frustrating afternoon but there was still plenty to be positive about. This may be an unpopular opinion but I’d much rather Gordon stay on his feet and take the chance on goal than go down and get a man sent off.

Slightly conflicting reports from Douglas and Hope regarding Jackson. One saying we are ready to move with the other saying other targets will be pursued first. Think personally I prefer the idea of Strand Larsen and one of Wissa/Watkins. #nufc

He won’t be the first player to agitate for a move that didn’t happen though and I just don’t see how letting him go helps us at all if we can’t replace him. We have money to spend anyway. Agree we still need to replace Wilson but that’s been the case even before this whole saga started.

If Sesko goes to Man United then the club need to tell Isak he isn’t going anywhere and get back to strengthening the rest of the team. We can’t decide where other players choose to go, but we absolutely can decide what happens with our own and he can’t leave without an adequate replacement. #nufc

The Premier League has changed. There isn’t really the ‘Big 6’ anymore. We now have a ‘Top 4’, whose spending power and influence is just a million miles away from everybody else. This window in particular feels like Liverpool, Man City, Chelsea & Arsenal have widened the gap massively.

Aye it still has been a disappointing window so far, had high hopes for new faces in the door early and now we are 3 weeks away from the start of the season.

I think with a squad as thin as ours there are certain positions we are short in where we need people who can come in and hit the ground running though. That only comes with league experience. It would be a big risk to bring in an unproven back up to Isak imo. Similar situation with Murphy & Elanga.

If it means Isak stays then Wissa would be an excellent signing and makes perfect sense for me. He’s proven in the league, fits our style of play and can cover out wide if needed. I don’t see how anyone could put a bad spin on that. #nufc

Liverpool don’t want him and he doesn’t want to be there so I’d be very surprised if he doesn’t move somewhere. Saudi clubs would pay big for him or Liverpool will surely drop their price if they have to instead of having him hanging around on big wages.

I’d like to think so, but I’m no sure that will still be the case if/ when Diaz and Nunez are sold?

No way to tell if they’re there or not really but there is absolutely no way those sort of flags would be on display in St. James Park in my experience.

It’s worth noting it’s obviously a very, very small minority of our supporters who will be on board with this and unfortunately you will get them at most clubs.

Israeli flag and ‘stop the boats’…an absolute embarrassment from our fans in Glasgow yesterday. What a wonderful way to start pre season. #nufc

I don’t think there’s a club in the world that doesn’t stop and consider the options if someone offers £150m for one of their players, but after missing out on Delap, Pedro and Ekitike it’s worrying to think where we end up now if he does go. #nufc

The 24/25 season was historic for #NUFC. Howe turned a rough summer into our first major domestic 🏆 in 70 years—and UCL qualification.

But success brings expectation. With PSR easing & more games in 25/26, fans & Howe expect investment.

But who to buy? Welcome to my third annual Summer Transfer 🧵

Mbeumo, Guehi & Delap are all realistic targets, now actively being pursued. As individual signings they'd improve us massively but if we pull off all 3 it's an absolutle game changer. #NUFC

We should be moving Willock on if a half way decent offer comes in too. Both him and Wilson have had plenty of opportunities in the run in to show their worth and unfortunately have failed to do so. #NUFC

Newcastle United are losers no longer: at last, they are something else On March 16 2025, Newcastle rocked up at Wembley and brought the noise. The foundations shook as they ended 70-year domestic trophy drought

⌚ "At 6.46pm, Bruno lifted a small metal pot above his head & the clocks stopped for #NUFC. No longer defined by glorious failure; at last, they are something else."
