Over the last few days there has been a lot of misinformation and desperation spreading, and many bad actors trying to swoop in and be "saviors" in this time of chaos. At this time we would like to remind you that, as Otter of Penumbra himself has said: "Anyone participating in the current rush to provide the next Mare is automatically very suspicious" and "participating in it implies that they're doing it for the wrong motivation" We Echo this sentiment. Anyone trying to create the next "Mare" is doing so with a secondary motive and should not be trusted. Furthermore, of all the clones we are aware of (and those that keep popping up) EVERY SINGLE one has been found to either be made by people who you should not want to associate with for bad misconduct towards the community, people who are willing to lie and be deceitful in an attempt to clout chase, or people who's quality and reliability of code cannot be trusted for safety and stability. We would like to make it clear that we do not support or endorse ANY Mare Synchronos Clones/Forks/Replacements, and WILL NOT until one has been officially added to the Sea of Stars Repo. No one on our team or devstaff approves of or endorses the current remaking of any new mare. Anyone who says that their replacement was made with the blessing or help of one of our devs, or uses the names of our plugins in association with theirs is LYING and is clout chasing and trying to gain trust they did not earn. Exercise caution and do your own research when it comes to anyone claiming to be 'The Next Mare Synchronos.' -The Aetherworks Team

Good morning @announcements this is a brief update on the upcoming FFXIV 7.3 patch: Unfortunately, I will be moving in the exact same week this patch drops and will likely be unable to immediately fix any potential issues that might arise with its release. So I will temporarily shut down the service at around August 3, 2025 at 23:00 GMT. This displayed time is local for you; it's around 1 day before patch - you will have to live at least one day without Mare as I'm moving immediately on the day after. Once I have finished moving proper and have some time I will check and verify that Mare is still working as intended post-7.3 and/or push an update and open the servers again. Ideally this will be still in the same week as of the patch release, but I can't make any promises. Apologies for any inconvenience caused; this timing is just extremely inconvenient for me as well.

Mare Synchronos 0.11.0 Mare Character Data Online - Appearance and Pose sharing made easy This release addresses the following: New Major Feature: Mare Character Data Online Instead of making and sharing MCDF, create and share a code you can give to others Up to 10 data sets can be created and kept for regular users, 50 for Vanity Before you get the pitchforks, MCDF is still supported For reference, all mentions of features that affect posing, world data, and spawning will require Brio >=0.44 to be installed The feature is found in "Your User Menu" (Icon with User with Cog) on Mares Main UI -> Character Data Hub The following functionality was added or changed: MCD Online Editor View and edit the description and see how often your MCDO was downloaded Limit who can access your MCDO codes by UID/Syncshell, close pairs, all pairs, or public access Set an expiry for your MCDO so it will get deleted from the server after it expires Set a Sharing type for your MCDO so you give others more opportunities to create a pose with you Attach or update your current appearance or preview the appearance of yourself that you have stored in the MCDO Attach or update up to 10 poses with custom set descriptions for each MCDO, so people downloading it can apply one of your premade poses Attach or update world locations for poses so people can spawn your pose in the exact location you envision it and do ad-hoc collabs! Updating anything (including poses!) also works while in GPose MCDF Export Moved into the Character Data Hub Now also works in GPose and doesn't require prior redrawing to generate a file

Load, apply, and spawn MCDF files shared with you Set favorites with custom descriptions for frequently used MCDO codes! Select and apply pose data to Mare-handled characters in GPose Poses Nearby See all poses with world data that have been shared with you nearby Floating wisps in the overworld and radar will show you the exact location Spawn and apply others' characters in their world poses to ad-hoc GPose with them! Apply shared poses of other characters to yourself Filters to limit the visibility of nearby poses Current MCDO Limitations: MCDO is currently limited to your character only. It will not include spawned props, mounts, or minions. Engaging in posing in Ktisis/Anamnesis will cause loaded poses to explode in a hilarious and uncontrolled fashion. Do yourself a favor and do not use the MCDO posing system in conjunction with Ktisis or Anamnesis; instead, use only Brio. There is a possibility for Ktisis support down the line. Anamnesis support is not possible. However, it's best to showcase such a large feature addition so I made a video demonstrating it in full. Keep in mind, the UI is from a state of yesterday and I have added/changed some things since then.
