3/ Our findings show that, and how, mental health and ‘vulnerability’ formulations are produced and negotiated at the interactional (and institutional) boundaries of subjective experience and formal diagnostic categories.

2/ We show how mental health concerns (e.g., depression, anxiety) can be a) initiated by callers when seeking housing support, b) included in call-taker routine question sequences or c) subsequently occasioned by call-takers (treating prior mental health talk as insufficient).
