Going to listen to A Power Unbound at work today and try to have a good day despite the horrors.

The twist is also really well done imo.

I am just obsessed with this book and this series. It's so well done. The magic system is amazing, and consistent. The world feels so real. The plot is so incredible. Freya Marske is such a good writer.

I also love that despite Jack being kind of an asshole, he never hurts Alan or uses his power or authority over Alan in a way that will harm or shame Alan.
Jack has reasons for being the way he is, and he's an asshole but not a bad person.

I also love that by the end of the book their kinks don't change, they evolve, but they don't change.
Their kinks are never treated as weird or shameful or toxic, they both want it and enthusiastically enjoy it. It's just so damn good.

Fuck it I'm gonna a keep yapping about them.

I love the way Freya writes consensual non-consent so much, it's so well done. Even when they are negotiating their limits they don't break character which is so fun to read and doesn't knock you out of the moment.

Anyway, I am rereading A Power Unbound by Freya Marske and I'm so obsessed with these characters. I love Jack and Alan so much.

Why did I never get to see Fenris again? Where is Aveline or Merril? Why didn't Fenris join Solas, their goals were aligned. How would Merril feel about Solas? Can you tell I love DA2?
Why didn't we just keep playing as Hawke? They could have been like Shepard.

I'm still so bummed out about Dragon Age, I know I keep bitching about it but I'm so confused why they changed DA so much every time a new game came out. I just wish DA was cohesive and you got to see the same characters come back. I'll die bummed out about it tbh.

And no, I do not care that it has flaws or is imperfect. It's such a well made game and I love it.

If we never get another Mass Effect game I will be sad, but the trilogy will ways be absolutely incredible no matter what. It's my favorite game series ever, I am so sad I waited so long to play it.

I am on the final mission of ME3 amd I don't want to play it bc I don't want it to end
