Queer Bluesky: how old were you when you came out and how old are you now?

I came out as bi (later redefined as pan) at 16.

Then trans at 32.

Taking bets at what I come out as at 48 (if itโ€™s every 16 years) or 64 (if it doubles). Good odds available on poly ๐Ÿ˜‰

Now Iโ€™m somewhere between 32 and 46

I'm a bit ๐Ÿ˜ on people going "this is why Labour, the Lib Dems and Greens need to team up!" coz...those parties are nowhere near each other politically. You think Labour and the Lib Dems will give up their pro-austerity policy? That Labour will reverse its anti-trans legislation?

We tried to place this story - very expensive polling, the first of its kind, strong quantitative data about what trans people feel about Britain: bluntly there is no better way to tell the story - with the BBC but it said it was "too weak".

But it will pick up any old piece of transhating garbage.

A person replies to Your Party Scotland with a screenshot. Their post says "I can confirm replies remain disabled, any comment on the transphobic landlord?" The screenshot is of a post from Your Party Scotland that says, "Your Party Scotland has yet to form and decide its policies at our founding conference. So we don't have any formal policies yet. But I would be astonished if, once we have, those questions will be addressed. Trans Liberation and rent control supporters are both very active in Your Party." Your Party Scotland then responds to this individual's comment and screenshot with "Until Your Party Scotland has formally constituted itself and made democratic decisions, we are not in a position to comment on much of anything unfortunately. In the meantime I'm sure individual YP activists will be happy to share their individual views with you."

So when myself and others demand answers on where Your Party stands on trans rights, it is -beyond- frustrating that we are told to wait until the members vote at conference on their position. A -position- on trans rights is how to make healthcare easier to access, not if we should have rights.

Itโ€™s important to remember that under the 1999 Regulations and the Croft case, refusing to allow a trans employee to use the toilet corresponding to their gender identity amounted to direct discrimination and a detriment in employment. This had nothing to do with indirect discrimination, [โ€ฆ]

Be a shame if the trans community came together and ruined the Sun's day by hijacking their poll with the correct answer

This guyโ€™s leader used Briannaโ€™s death and presence of her mother for cheap point scoring during PMQs. Since then he has done everything in his power to make life harder for trans people, particularly trans teens with his governmentโ€™s policies (PB Ban, Cass) and lack of action over the SC ruling.

Met Police says it will no longer investigate non-crime hate incidents The move comes as an investigation into Father Ted creator Graham Linehan is dropped, after his arrest over a post on X.

1993: Stephen Lawrence is murdered by racists.
1999: The MacPherson Inquiry recommends recording of non-crime hate incidents.
2005: After the Discrimination Law Review, non-crime hate incidents begin being recorded by UK police.
2025: Mainstream transphobia ends a harm reduction policy that worked.

3/ In 2022, Parliament actually passed new primary legislation to reaffirm the legality of the non-crime hate incidents regime.

Now we have a prime minister and a police commissioner who believe they can abolish laws by executive fiat.

Starmer and the Met Chief Constable interfered in this case. That's a major red flag and public scandal, abuse of public office, and a collapse of the rule of law.

When transphobes from Graham Linehan to JK Rowling and others are effectively granted immunity that's a problem.

But itโ€™s wonderful to see Zack consistently stand up for the values of most of the left in a passionate and full-throated manner.

When asked by Decider if she knew about a fan "boycott" of Rowling's work, Knightley, 40, said she was "not aware of that."

"I'm very sorry," said Knightley, who was joined by her "Woman in Cabin 10" director Simon Stone. "You know, I think we're all living in a period of time right now where we're all going to have to figure out how to live together, aren't we? And we've all got very different opinions. I hope that we can all find respect."

JK Rowling has denied the nazi persecution of LGBTQ+ people in the Holocaust, uses the money she earns to legislate trans people out of existence and asked her followers to photograph women going to the washroom.
