The randomness of 6,000 residents of the London Borough of Redbridge standing to sing the national anthem at The Royal Albert Hall was only surpassed by the orchestral version of The Prodigy's Firestarter.

Eldest daughter (17) is discussing her devised A-level drama performance with youngest daughter (11) which is about toxic masculinity and the patriarchy and I am so proud. Apt discussion for #IWD

I miss living by the river. Lovely sunny stroll and a spot of mud larking.

Transport independence for my daughters was a big factor in the decision making process for buying our current home. Also aware of the importance of affordability in having this choice.

I didn't know there was a Twin Peaks the return. The original series was a big part of my teenage years.

This is what my garden looked like when we first moved in. The water feature that emited mist likesomethingout of Harry Potter (yes really) is unfortunately not featured).

Parents at the private school near me arrive 30-60 minutes before school ends in order to get a good parking spot close to the schooland then sit in their cars with the engine running until collection time.

Was the advocaat made into a cocktail with lemonade and 'mixed with a fork to create a 'froth'? I was given this to drink from about age 7.

Thought that after my youngest child left primary school that would be the end of Christmas concerts for me, but she's joined the choir and ukulele club so I still got to watch her. I still cried. Not at her, at the very shy girl who performed a perfect Handel trumpet concerto solo.

I so agree. Looks lovely on the hanger. Looks like I'm a child wearing my mum's dressing gown when I put it on.

When my daughter was small I would respond to her baby gurgling as if she was telling me something really interesting, like juicy gossip "that's amazing", "tell me more", "then what happened". At 17 she is the most talkative person I know and her day isn't complete if she has downloaded it to me!

Oh that does look interesting. I have advocated that built environment professionals need to 'walk the walk' with the people they are planning for. A child/older person's etc. perspective on the world might be very different from yours. (I used to write CPD for town planners)

My friend introduced me to the idea of 'wow walks' where you take notice and appreciate the small things in life as a positive mental health practice. Taking a photo and posting seems like an extension of that

I did this for my daughter when she was tiny because we luve a few hours away from family and I wanted to give her more connections to her family. I didn't realise I was helping her development.
