More news about an incredible a Middle Jurassic (~170 mya) dinosaur tracksite near Oxford (U.K.), which includes one of the longest continuous dinosaur trackways in the world, made by a big sauropod. 🧪🦕🐾🪨 #ichnology

7/10 over both traps. A little disappointing tbh. After the warm, calm day and a fairly cloudy night here I was expecting a few more. Still, there was a nice Black Rustic and a random Eudonia angustea (to be checked) on the kitchen window.

Added a few common moths to the cottage list. Had one lifer, the Gold Triangle. Also the attractive Carcina quercana, only the second I’ve seen.

RSPB Arne nature reserve.

Another wander around Arne today. No outstanding highlights but watching a Firecrest flit about just above our heads was cool. We only managed about 5.5 miles as my leg and foot are absolute murder atm! 😬

Well, ObsId seems certain, and we all know it’s infallible…😏 A very well defined ring in the park grounds at Lyme Regis.

Came across these on a short walk this morning. Porcelain Fungus (it says here on ObsId). Beautiful.

😲 We only saw our solitary eagle at distance from beside the RSPB shop. It was being mobbed by something which the RSPB guide thought might be an Osprey. I couldn’t tell tbh.

Visited the excellent Dorchester museum today to see the Jane Austen exhibition. TBH we actually found it rather underwhelming. However, I did spy this exhibit about naturalists Helen and Nelson Richardson.
