I played through this weekend and loved it. It was fun to realize the significance of some clues only after I had solved it and went back to poke around.

Here are all the stories and previews from my trip to Tokyo Game Show. I hadn't been since 2010, and back then it was always with a full crew at GameTrailers. So it was almost like my first time. It had its challenges, but overall, I think it all went well.

Looking over this list, I think I got a pretty good spread of variety here, especially since I didn't have much time to book appointments and there was a lot I'd already seen at previous shows.

I have 14 games to cover from TGS, and yet my brain is still like, “I didn’t play anything for the podcast this week.” Because I didn’t do it at home.

Also, fun fact. We were gathering a crowd while we were shooting. So afterwards, @chadconcelmo.bsky.social decided to let a few fans get pictures and autographs while I tore everything down.

I was nervous about this because I was out there on my own. I'm used to having a cameraman to handle the technical side of things while I focus on the interview, but I wasn't going to turn it down. Everything's on auto, it's not perfect, but I'm happy with how it came out.

They had the Buckshot table there too, although I neglected to try that out.

This was really well done. Loved feeling the weight of the door and the sound effects were worked in very well. Big shout out to the team at @ukiyostudios.com

$30 a month for Game Pass Ultimate is a HEFTY price jump.

According to Circana's Q3 2025 Future of Video Games Custom Survey, the top reasons cited by those in the US who have unsubscribed from Game Pass were:

Console market is struggling to match the growth of Steam, while continuing to erode the affordability and simplicity that made it competitive.

The worst thing about these sub services constantly ratcheting up the prices is that the “essential” plans keep ballooning out of control. $120 per year just to keep online multiplayer. C’mon.

Moving day one first party games to only be on Ultimate is such a bait and switch too.

Back at the airport now. This has been one of the best and maybe most important trips I’ve ever been on. Feels like I just made some lifelong friends. Lots to catch up on when I get back, but I have some fun stuff coming.

Despite the crushing wall of people, looks like attendance at TGS was actually lower than last year.
