Alternatively, if the use of "alert 🚨" is fully embedded in the academic community, we can limit the number of alarms to only two for regular publications 🚨 🚨

In support for open science I leave this formula as Open Access. New contributions are highly valued and welcomed.

For the usual publications, like "we just noticed another little inequality here" or "you've been doing Diff in diff the wrong way", I propose we use this announcement:

"New publication notification 🔔 No stress, read it whenever you have time, if you want. Enjoy your day 🫶😘"

Not sure if it's just me, but the word "alert" (especially if 🚨follows) makes me think something urgent and (likely) dangerous is happening.

So I propose we leave the usual "new publication alert 🚨" just for urgent and dangerous stuff.

E.g. "We found that 2 asteroids will impact Earth next week!"

Or 4) So many great and successful posts that it takes a huge mental burden not to repost everything

I agree and "imperialism of ethnic categories" seems a very appropriate and paradoxical title. The few times I did courses in US universities I wasn't sure what to state regarding my race and ended up saying "Mixed" for simplicity. This also reminds me of this story: www.bbc.com/mundo/deport...
