Just boarded my longest flight to date- ATL to GRU- 9 hrs 15 min. It'll be the furthest I've ever been from anyone I know. I'm oddly nervous for someone who has been flying weekly for work for the last 7 years.

Jealousy.

On my oversold flight from DFW to SFO, United can't get anyone to take a later flight for $1,500 in travel vouchers. I'm not sure if it says more about people not wanting to fly United, or about how so many people from Texas would rather be in California.

Working in White Settlement, Tx this week. I was really hoping it was founded by Jed White or someshit like that. Nope. It was literally a white settlement. What's worse- in 2008, there was a vote to change the name to West Settlement, which failed by a vote of 2,388 to 219. Fuckin yay. Texas, y'all

Careful driving out there. Just had our car totalled by a driver turning left without yielding to oncoming traffic (us) because he thought he could make it. He hit the front of our car. There's no world in which you might be able to make it and you hit the front of a car.
