as for finding rubber bands - you can still buy them on bricklink, but they never last long! however you can buy packs of braiding bands (for hair) easily online and they work about the same as the official lego rubber bands. hope this is helpful!

hi! you'll want to loop the band around two thin bushings to hold it in place. the trick is that you need to twist it in the middle (between the loops) in order for the legs and arms to rotate opposite one another. This technique was figured out by a friend who goes by the name joint-dogg.
