👐 This investment couldn’t be more timely, as one in five children in Hackney now need additional SEND support.

The new site will make it easier for more Hackney children with SEND to learn and be supported closer to home.

48 more specialist school places will open for local children with complex needs in Autumn 2027 🥳

This is part of the expansion of Ickburgh School onto the former Baden Powell Primary School, which recently had to close due to lack of pupils.

🏫 The Meadow at Sebright School is a special, calm space where children with speech, language & communication needs can receive one-to-one support, while staying connected with their mates in mainstream lessons.

Achievements include 👇
☀️ 4,000 solar panels on 27 housing blocks, cutting bills by 15%
🌡️1,300 homes, leisure centre & 2 schools in a new heat network, saving 2,635 tonnes of CO₂ per year
👚 1,000 tonnes of waste saved from disposal, saving £400,000
🌳 17,000+ new trees
