NEW: Big study of low-traffic neighbourhoods in London suggest they cut road injuries and deaths by more than a third within their boundaries with no apparent negative safety effect on nearby roads. This feels a *major* boost for proponents of such schemes.

We have written to @meghillier.bsky.social as a Hackney MP to make it clear that we regard her stance as clearly anti-cycling, request that she rethinks, and that she removes her support for the amendments that she's sponsored. We've also requested a meeting.

Our monthly meeting is tonight at 7:30pm, and this month it's IN PERSON at the Pembury Centre.

We'll welcome campaigners from Islington and Haringey to discuss the horrible Finsbury Jn. We'll also discuss plans for events over the coming events, new schemes coming, and more.

Desire line in grass by Britannia Leisure center. Council attempted to stop it with foliage (which has then been moved by people), then a big log which has led to more desire lines being created.

Here's Hackney's version of @instachaaz's desire line meme. Attempts to prevent the desire line with foliage and a big log has only meant that new desire lines are being created.
