You buy the office furniture where you work? Ya’ll are fighting the wrong fights. These are pennies in the federal budget.

Their staff mostly uses the furniture. I doubt most go to the majority of these offices. You can have your opinion, I have mine. I see it in action and I have to work to make this money stretch. The issue is what they make elsewhere. They also pay personally to eat in the capitol dining room.

I work on the House side managing their budgets. The truth is, this is for their office and staff. They don’t get to keep it. It stays in the State or District. This also isn’t that much considering Senators have offices all over the entire State.

It is. See, Members are driving bc they normally fly and the flights were cancelled by storms. So, they don’t commute like normal people and most people don’t commute that far. Saying, now they know what other people have to deal with is incorrect. Their commutes to DC are much harder.

The main thing to cut is Member Salaries. Cutting MRAs only hurt constituents and young staff.

Beg to differ on what part? I was referring to staff not Members. You cannot cut Member’s salaries easily. It is appropriated differently and has constitutional protections. They would go their staffs who are largely underpaid young people.

Frankly, most of them don’t get rich being Members either and it is all relative, but most Americans think this is a good salary.

Until recently starting salaries were basically minimum wage. No one is getting rich working on Capitol Hill except the Members.

The only people that hurts are the young staff. And honestly, you know Members could care less. Their pay doesn’t get touched.

I can assure she is the farthest thing from the dumbest person (let alone woman) ever elected. Trust me, I work there. This man is a monster.
