Also using binary to count on human hands is really useful! Up to 31 (2^5-1) on one hand. Tertiary with crooks is a lot of subtle adjustments that would take more practice, but I imagine a lot more intuitive when using two digits and only counting to 8.

Maybe I'm crazy but are the hand signs for 5 and 6 backwards? Lower numbers crook the left digit first.
