I have some very illogical and highly disruptive phobias despite being known as an overall logical person, so I feel very seen when a character has a phobia that would seem out of place with their personality traits. Hub’s fear of ghosts is not a reflection of who he is, and I like that ☺️

I like that Megaman.exe is so brave and powerful that he can face deadly opponents with no fear, yet has an incapacitating phobia of ghosts. Me too little man me too.

I’ve been watching Ace wo Nerae (1973) and it’s been such a great help in keeping myself motivated every day at a time when college is very challenging. It works like a charm.

If anyone’s curious, since the Japanese schoolyear ends in March and BN6 ends with the end of Lan’s 6th grade, that would mean that all of MMBN’s events ended on March 2025.

So this birth year is probably not too set in stone and how far in the future MMBN takes place is still supposed to be more ambiguous than anything.

The canonicity of Lan’s character details here seem to be questionable though, as this same section also states that his favorite food is fried rice and seasoned nori, even though he explicitly states that it’s curry in BN4 (in the JP version at least).

I’ve never seen anybody mention this before but in the official Rockman.EXE no Himitsu book, Lan/Netto Hikari’s birthyear is stated to be 2012, meaning that the entirety of Mega Man Battle Network takes place in 2023-25.

Still won’t be buying. I am however glad that it’s going to reenter circulation and will hopefully regain some relevance. I love you Archie Mega Man, they could never make me hate you
