Cambodia has responded to the ceasefire call by Malaysian PM Ibrahim, who works as ASEAN chair, whereas Thailand initially agreed out but withdrew just an hour later.

Cambodia has also accepted the ceasefire by US President Trump.

I hope this will lead to stable solutions.

I attended the workshop for the elementary process of the volcanic phenomena organized by Prof. Yujiro Suzuki. It covered various topics, and I really enjoyed discussions and interactions with researchers in Japan.

Validation of 3D multiphase pyroclastic dilute current model: effects of confinement on the flows - Bulletin of Volcanology The volcanology community is systematically testing numerical models for pyroclastic density currents (PDCs) against datasets from that are defined through large-scale experiments. We are happy to share our new paper, which focuses on the entrainment process under confinement. We compare a fully channel-confined and a partially confined simulation that follows the setup of PELE's experiment. We also discuss the impact of their confinement.

I joined the InSAR workshop at Earthquake Research Institute (ERI) in University of Tokyo. Although I just shared my recent progress about inversions and data assimilations, many researchers gave me fruitful suggestions. I believe we will provide update soon at conference or paper.

EAGE London: Volcanic hazards under the ocean EAGE London: Volcanic hazards under the ocean and the fastest-moving flows in the deep-sea I. Yeo & M. Clare, National Oceanography Centre

There’s a great talk on Jan 23rd at Imperial College London and online AND it’s free. Come along if you like the ocean, volcanoes, fast moving sediments and/or speakers interrupting each other. Good pubs within walking distance.
