God, I hate it when a knitting pattern doesn’t add up!
I’m no mathematical genius, but even I know a pattern repeat over 4 stitches doesn’t work when you have 102 stitches to begin with 🤯🧶

It’s that time of the year; autumn - aka the season of gammeldags æblekage (old-fashioned applecake) 🍎😋😍

A delicious danish ‘cake’ of sweetened apple puree layered with oats toasted in butter, sugar, and a little cinnamon, and topped with whipped cream and blobs of apple jelly.

I agree so much about the skeins, but I find that all the best yarn comes in skeins 🙄🧶

Try searching yarn winder. That should work, but know you also need a yarn swift to hold the skein while the winder rolls. But both are worth every penny! 😁🥳

Oh, it so is 😀 I have a huge yarn stash, but it's all already in balls, and now I'm itching to buy new yarn in skeins simply to be able to use my new toy 😁

I do hope so! It's Manos del Uruguay Silk Blend, a wool and silk mix, and it's by far the most luxurious (and expensive!) yarn I've ever worked with 🫣
So yeah, I'm going to take my time and do this right. I want this cardigan to be a success 🤞😁

It is, much prettier than the traditional bind off and super stretchy, which I like a lot 😁
Once you get into the rhythm of the stitches it’s not so bad, but you definitely need more patience 😄

Promise yourself a treat when you're done! Piece of chocolate, glass of wine, or permission to buy more yarn 😆
Just make sure it's right there in front of you on the table or screen so you're constantly reminded.

Well, it was a rather wet winter here (Denmark), but hope I was just unlucky. Fingers crossed for the new crowns!

Can you carefully dig around the two to see their state? No reason to wait a year to see if they grow when you can replace them now.

Gardening really is both ups and downs 😁🌱

You’re so lucky! I put in 6 asparagus crowns last year, and only 1 came up this year. Carefully dug around the others, and they’d rotted over winter!

Have now bought 5 new plants, a little older, so hopefully can still pick the first few asparagus next year - and then for the next 20 😁🤞🏻🌱
