We love these animals so deeply it makes the pain at the end unbearable. Treasure every moment and hug him extra tight for me.

Way too compressed, especially with large breeds. And he wasn’t even old, he should have had half a life left. Feels like a sick joke.

It’s awful. We just had my grandmother’s funeral on Tuesday and my folks called me last night from the airport to say the kennel called and he’d gotten very sick very suddenly. Held on just long enough for my folks to make it in to say goodbye and I got to tell him on the phone how special he was.
