Ah, fair enough! I will watch with rapt anticipation. Hope you’re very well.

I’ve found the explanation. Took a few moments of digging I should have carried out before commenting. The holding filing was pro se. The full detailed complaint is with counsel. So nothing to see here.

There may be some American legal nicety I am completely oblivious about but it seems absolutely extraordinary to me with my English law hat on that he has filed Pro Se, representing himself.

The invasion of privacy and identification appears initially to have occurred on TikTok when people got excited about the video. It then spiralled completely out of control so official organisations began to comment.

Absolutely first class insight from my client this morning, who had a trial listed in late 2029:

β€œWhat happens if the Third World War hasn’t finished by then? It’s going to start any day now!”

If I were Andy Farrell I’d wake up this morning and beg, beg, beg for someone to find me Jamie George’s phone number.

Interesting. Thanks.

(I have no idea, so if reports/conclusions etc are available from DFT I’d be delighted to see them)

I wonder how much of that is a true data based analysis, and how much is based on a political calculation not wanting to upset the age group most likely to vote.

That’s not far off.

Hands up if you had to stay overnight away from home for a hearing this morning and the hotel waiter spilled hollandaise sauce on your suit trousers and now you have to decide between navy shorts and light blue jeans in the local Crown Court?

Anyone? Anyone else?

Ooh, DAG’s become a toff!

The specific offence she faced is less common than some of the other offences under the Act, but there’s nothing particularly special about it. Entirely run of the mill.

Constantly. It appears in charges in the Magistrates’ Court hundreds of times per day up and down the country. Offences under that Act are perhaps some of the most often seen. They are utterly mundane.

Isn’t that a character from Toast of London?

Yes.

Clearly a joke, but an utterly insane one to make.

There are only three types of feedback in reality: 1) you’re not good enough 2) you’re good enough but made a significant mistake or two or 3) you’re brilliant but on the day someone was better. Only number 2 seems vaguely useful to me.

It is still the only community with a large enough sample size that candidates can get a decent overview of what is actually happening set by set. The campaign against rejection by silence has somewhat morphed into a movement demanding full, detailed, feedback for every rejection.

My set was accused of rejection by silence on there this year. I DMed the candidate on TSR to find out what had happened as I wanted to check our process and see what had gone wrong. They sheepishly apologised - they had not applied to us. They just thought they had. They didn’t publicly retract.

29.04.2025 06:31 β€” πŸ‘ 2    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 2    πŸ“Œ 0

TSR truly is a cesspit. Last year someone posted how they had had an interview *that day* with my set and explained how rude we were etc etc. We hadn’t even sent out interview invitations by that point (someone told them this). I can’t begin to understand the motivation.

We use the Gateway as well, but the problem occurs when they email you. As the designated recipient of emails from applicants via the system I see some truly confusing and confused things.

Yes, the signature/watermark selfies are terrible as well, but definitely decreasing in regularity. The unicorn was a new low.

I will not relitigate the twitter chat, but I will simply say that I have very strong feelings.

Do people actually include logos on formal documents? Bizarre. Almost as bad as the pupillage applicant who has an animated gif of a unicorn in their email signature. That watermark is clearly from an unwell person.

A table showing the number of imes teams have won the Premier League in ascending order.
The sequence goes 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13 - the first seven terms of the Fibonacci sequence.

As Liverpool win the Premier League for the second time, they complete the opening of a quite remarkable sequence, 33 years in the making.

Had a magnificent dream that the Vatican knowingly selected the *entirely fictional* Cardinal Tedesco as the new Pope. It was the role of a lifetime for Sergio Castellitto and he lived up to it wonderfully.

when @benrowe.uk first DM'ed us about being a guest on 400wah, I freaked out in the crew server so much. I forgot about that, ofc, until Ben joined the crew server only to search his name. he knows I am, in fact, very unhinged, so he didn't put a restriction order against me. thank god.

If I had a case to refer to the CCRC, and was absolutely adamant that it wasn’t just a publicity stunt, I probably wouldn’t issue a press release stating that I was going to personally hand deliver my documents to their offices.

I’d probably just email them, or stick them in the post.
