Graphical summary of the paper entitled : "Macaque prefrontal cortex integrates multiple components for metacognitive judgments of working memory"
Using calcium imaging in macaque PFC during a meta–WM task, we show that PFC jointly encodes remembered locations + uncertainty.
PFC integrates WM strength + cues into a meta-WM signal that guides behavior.

A non-monotonic code for event probabilityin the human brain. Nature Communication, Foucault et al, 2025
Using 7T fMRI, our team found a representation of the probability of the next event in human dlPFC —and it’s highly non-monotonic.
Confidence signals, in contrast, were mostly monotonic.

Excited to share our preprint: "Recasting adaptation as strategy inference".
