The thing that I understand the least about this admin is what kind of future they envision for their own children. A ticket to the Wildlife Center of Virginia's charity gala event costs $150 and a virtual ticket for the auction is $50. It benefits the WCV, its hospital for injured wild animals, and its extensive public outreach about living with wildlife.

Ditto. But this is actually, I believe, less expensive than the higher end of Not-Hobbiton--an event that does not clarify what % goes to the charity--and there are sad orphaned baby bears. (Really, WCV does amazing work, much of it on smaller, difficult to rehabilitate animals like songbirds.)

Thumbs up to @nbcwashington.com for absolutely dismantling the stats Trump and Vance have cited on local crime rates and clarifying laws for children who commit crimes. Please keep defending the DMV with facts!

So every time you read about what is happening in Texas, when you read about what they're going to now do in Indiana, when you read about this new fake census Trump wants or when you read about the federalization of the capital, understand that this is open plotting for a second armed insurrection.
