There are problems and there are proposed solutions to those problems.

Some of those solutions have a progressive flavor, others have a reactionary flavor.

I don't agree with every progressive proposal, but I have never seen a reactionary proposal that wasn't terrible.

"Has the Left gone too far?" is an incoherent question. It's like asking what happened before the beginning of time?

The question presumes that there is some "sweet spot" where culture should be but no such place exists.

I think it goes back way further than that.

I think we need to come to terms with the fact that the mainstream media is always going to be a "both sides" machine.

And when "both sides" is applied between an objectively true statement and an objectively false statement, it always benefits the false statement.
