The Epstein files gives us all a great chance to see who licks the boots of pedophiles and who doesn't. Please don't let this topic go with your friends and family members. It matters so, so much.

And who taught more parents to do this in the US than any other person from 1970 on? That's right, my arch nemesis Dr. James Dobson.

Teaching parents to ignore their children's developmental needs and to hurt/shame/control them absolutely lays the groundwork for doing this to other people. And being willing to blame victims instead of abusers, since they themselves are locked into defending abusive parenting as good and godly.

The reason I believe evangelical parenting methods are a huge factor into where we are at in the US right now is because if you can convince parents to abuse their kids and ignore their pain you can convince them to do this to any number of marginalized peoples in society.

Was @dlmayfield.bsky.social was right about everything? We can bring this all back to evangelical Christians who adored ➡️ eugenicist James Dobson who sexualized children and led to ➡️ CSAM consumed by ➡️ rich white men who got power by appealing to ➡️ evangelical Christians.

Was driving my kids to school and the first thing on the radio was reporting about Trump's video depicting the Obamas as apes and I think many people still don't fully appreciate what it means to have to raise Black children in a country where the president is so brazenly and consistently racist

The reason why we have been talking about estrangement in religious authoritarian families for the past few years is because estrangement is a natural outcome of people being in a fascist death cult. In a culture that has no real accountability for abusers, many of us are learning it's up to us.

This isn't about changing hearts and minds. The time for that has passed. Now it is time to make sure nobody gets to say they didn't know. It is time to start preparing for accountability.

At some point I realized that all the people my parents loved and admired were people who did not match my core values of justice and neighbor love in any way.

So yeah, I am totally OK with disappointing people folks like this. That doesn't mean it has been easy, but it has been worth it.

My parents have been gravely disappointed in me and my work talking about the harms of evangelical Christianity for over a decade now.

I don't really mind because they are Christian nationalists and all of their friends are bootlickers for authoritarian pedophiles.

This is really important. Dobson started Focus on the Family in 1977 when the American Institute for Family Relations closed when it's founder (eugenicist Paul Popenoe) retired. This looks like Prince funded the Family Research Council Dobson started, which has done SO much damage w/ legislation.

In towns across America people are showing up to resist ICE in ways our elected officials could never imagine. The ordinary people are resisting in so many ways. This is in Surprise AZ where the residents are protesting a large ICE facility and they spent hours testifying against it.
