Talked to my friend who on hospice today. That woman really should have been a pagan witch with what she believes and does. We talked about the ancestors and the afterlife today. She told me what I meant to her in her life, and that she will be waiting to greet me when I die.

Brought donuts to work for my boss’ 25th anniversary at the firm. Totally worth it to see how he lit up. Each person grabbing a donut thanks him for his work here. He’s glowing.

The impact on him is bigger than I thought it would be. It makes me so happy.

I've been letting the goldenrod grow in my suburban backyard. My neighbor hates it as a weed but the yellow is so cheerful. I've let it take over a small garden bed and it makes me happy. Your giant field would make me delirious with joy.

Relieved it's finally here. I could use some rest and integration after a crazy 9 months.

Not to mention that occasionally I wander up a mountain with a snack and a wild book. Gotta mix things up every now and then.

The neighbors are getting a new roof and one of the guys offered to clean out my gutters for $50. Score! Even if it’s a ploy to see if I need a new roof (I don’t), it’s worth it.

After a week in the hospital, dad moved into assisted living today. Lots of discussion about aging, dying and death to get here. It’s been hard but I have promised to walk with him every step of the way. Hecate help me.

Yes, it was the career step I'd been wanting. They said all the right things, offered the right salary, etc. I couldn't find a reason to explain the warning bells, so I ignored them. It's hard to stop and listen sometimes.
