I feel like humans have an innate desire for magic but modernity requires scientific explanations.

Similar experience. I remember some of them calling me stupid for wanting to implement features from older games like programming parallax effects or using palette shifting over having recoloured image duplicates.

Any ideas for animated projects?

I find myself in a similar era. Found Telegram and Discord helped a bit. Also just doing seemingly random things and commenting on other's art seemed to work.

Imagining a reboot of the saw franchise were it's just people being subjected to the Socratic Method for a few hours per movie.

It makes me wonder why I'm trying to get into parasitology. Science as a pursuit of truth just seems dead. Only 7/10 studies are replicable and that's before all this ai junk. Students don't even understand Boolean and would rather get a robot to do all the reading and writing.
