Haven't posted in a while, but I have been busy making some major updates to how the cards are presented and better iconography to help with clarity.

Just finished updates and the next prototype will be here soon! I will also be at Origins this year as well, I'll make a post with details soon!

Emergency paleontological salvage work begins at the forthcoming electric substationsite at St George Dinosaur Discovery Site /Washington County, UT. Need power equipment. Unique urban site. 2nd most significant dino tracksite in NA at risk of losing most basal Jurassic bonebed in North America.

Really looking forward to trying that. Rainforest wasn't available during the steam demo. Looked like a fun combo.

Nah, just had time to chat at the booth for a few minutes. But I played that module a lot during the Kickstarter on steam. Enjoyed the flexibility it gave predators.

Fun fact, when designing the art for my board game, I took some patterns from some of my favorite dino toys I had as a kid.

Thankfully we will all assume it was deliberate until you tell us otherwise haha.

That raptor has a fun style to it regardless!

Thanks! It supports up to 4 players. I feel like a standard game is about 15-20 minutes per player. So 30-40 minutes for 2, around an hour for a full group of 4. But end of game begins when a player hits a certain threshold, so there are shorter and longer options if needed.

Cretaceous - Targeting people who want an easy to learn game that still has enough different components to make each game different.

What makes it unique is the playerboards acting like a video game inventory and the traits of the real dinosaurs it is based on effecting gameplay.

Oh that's a slippery slope! A good one is while Oviraptor was named "egg thief" due to the initial fossil looking like it died stealing eggs, it is now proven to have died defending its own nest. So it is actually a good parent stuck with a bad name!

Remember - there is TONS of great free and affordable art from real human artists out there. Game makers (big or small) do NOT need to use environment-killing theft-based generative AI "art" to make their games a reality.

In my opinion, it is Deinonychus. It upended the long held thinking that all Therapod dinosaurs were lumbering carnivores. The thinner bones and and overall composition proved it was an agile hunter.

The raptors in Jurassic Park are essentially Deinonychus, but that's not why they are the coolest!

Yeah, the age of dinosaurs is great, all 3 periods. The cretaceous period just had the biggest so it made for the best choice between them!
