Tnis was a hard watch. even though everything was consentual, a lot of it felt like abuse to me because of my history.

Wonderful performances and some moments of real movie magic though.

But sadly, every cool idea got pissed away to take the safe and obvious route.

The scares are telegraphed.
The dialogue is often so ham-fisted, it illicited howls of laughter from my audience.

It's a shame, because the cast is charming and there are a few really interesting ideas that get introduced.
