Baking shipping into the cost is definitely the norm - and that’s not a lesson artist vendors learn early on. Same for packaging. Also pricing your own labor!

For years I did not adequately price anything for fear of being too “expensive” but really, it seems like people buy what they want!

I do understand trying to save on gifts - especially with pressure to shop for so many people this time of year - I also love a coupon, hunting for deals and discount codes. But then in past years I’ve felt pressure to go hard on this, as if I could ever compete with the big guys.

Thinking about holiday sale time for my online shop. But also wondering how important it is. I feel like now people shop from artists because they understand where the money is going, not because they’re doing Am*zon-level discounts or “free” shipping. Thoughts?
