For non-perishables, they can use it to buy exactly what they're low on, and they can also use it for the perishable stuff they have to buy - milk, meat, etc.

Not-so-fun-fact: 1 in 6 Massachusetts residents received SNAP benefits in 2024. Over 1 million MA residents. That number *has* to have risen in 2025.

One thing that bothers me tonight in particular is how so much of this is happening because of grand and sweeping capitulation by the media, by companies, by Congress, by people in power. Even when they don’t have to — they simply comply, acquiesce, and appease.
