In my LinkedIn profile, I get an email from a recruiter hiring philosophy PhD's like me to review high level questions to ensure that the next generation of AI models will not make errors. So, I am supposed to help develop AI to replace me by making sure it can do its (my) job well. Hard no.

Happy 44th birthday to Moving Pictures. Perhaps whilst grading this eve, I’ll throw in the Time Machine Tour DVD and watch them play MP in its entirety on the occasion of its 30th anniversary.

Back to in person teaching today. Intro to Ethics and Intro to Philosophy back to back. 3 solid hours of corrupting the youth like Socrates before me.

Just got word that I was elected as co-director of the International Association for Environmental Philosophy. Don’t be too congratulatory as no one else ran for the role in this election cycle. But as a member since 2004, I felt it was high time to give back.

Just heard. “So, is your bacon burger made from all bacon or is it a regular burger with bacon on it?” At first, I thought that was funny, but upon further reflection, that’s a valid question.

Graduated from the University of North Texas with a Ph.D. in Philosophy. Looking forward to lending a hand to teach PHIL4700, Environmental Philosophy and PHIL 2070, Workd Religions this semester.
