Speaking of corvids, I am finding slivers of time to draw.. there are a few shiny trinkets in store on the horizon - I’ve been quietly trying to find myself in art again.
I do have a goal to launch a new website on the 31st, but not sure I can make it.
We’ll see..

He’s probably going to sell chunks of that rubble, and his base will eat it up, salivating all the while. Grifters gonna grift.

My backyard neighbours are having their yard sprayed for mosquitoes… why?!? 😭
We have bats, hummingbirds, dragonflies, etc..
On a still day the droplets can travel 3 metres in 11 seconds. And there’s a breeze today.. I’m so worried about my pollinator garden 😩

I’ve never been much of a traveller and have been to very few places. I have been to New Brunswick (because the ex was from there), but nowhere else on the east coast.. I’d so love to see the rest of it

There was a commotion outside just now with all the birds in my back courtyard.. I noticed some movement down behind some pots, and it was the rat that lives in the rocks under the neighbours deck. It had a young red-winged blackbird. It wasn’t any bigger than the bird.. man rats are vicious 😢

The whole family comes daily now 🤗🖤🐦‍⬛

This big guy was crawling around on my driveway.. I picked him up and put him on these geum flowers so he wouldn’t get accidentally squished. Immediately fell asleep..
Male carpenter bees have a spot on their forehead, while females are completely black!

Absolutely.. that’s what I was trying to get at too. Kids will always rebel in some way. To use that inclination as a justification for Christo-fascism is the stretch they seem to like to make though

My genZ kids are certainly not listening to that..
And their self-selected internet includes caution and critical thinking, diversity, inclusion, and science. Not bible bullshit rhetoric.

They really are sweet looking little birds! It’s amazing how much of a voice & personality they have!
I have a conure and she’s been trying to cozy up to him a bit lately, but he’s hand raised and I doubt he’ll ever let her get too close. I might get her another friend she could maybe cuddle with 🤗

I’m so upset, he’s out here working on trying to eat a small piece of a cashew nut for the last 10 minutes 😭

He seems to be managing to eat? I hope he’ll be ok.. if he sticks around I’m going to try to put out some nutritious food that he can hopefully manage to get!

I just came outside to take a closer look at a red-winged blackbird at my feeders who was behaving a bit oddly, and I realised he doesn’t have his upper mandible 😭
