Social media has become a useful tool for the extremely wealthy to influence the working poor that their lack of finances is due to the disabled on benefits and illegal immigrants stealing their job/claiming money. But they are too busy/tired or lazy to look into the real issues why they’re poor.

Social Media is co-opted to exploit this and drive news agendas, keepfolk anxious and uncertain. Stir up shit, muddy everything, so why change anything?

It's a tool, used and played expertly to kee folk slightly off-kilter and make it easier for bad actors to win and maintain power asymmetrically.
