I thought it was just me! I mean, I really enjoyed the books (esp as a New Zealander) but I have zero idea … ??

I tried to purchase something from a museum shop in Hong Kong, and it wouldn’t ship to NZ so I couldn’t and they EMAILED ME to ‘remind’ me to complete the purchase. 😡

I’ve been tracking forecast and actual temps from the Three News each night. Wgton is usually 3 deg warmer than forecast. Same as last summer.
Metservice needs to adjust its model.

My wife and I were on a beach in the Wellington area and found this at a car park, in the grass.

It is approximately the size of a person's hand,made of bone, and intricately carved.

I've masked the lower half,as only the legitimate owner will be able to fully describe it.

The tradition of celebrating 'coming of age' is recorded as early as 714!

Summer shutdown in NZ is not a problem. Compare with Scandinavian countries that close down for 5-6 weeks in Summer & good for them.
