also I have been reading more and spending less time on my phone and whew it feels goooood. started the Broken Earth trilogy by n.k. Jemisin, easily one of the best things I've ever read, sucked me in so hard and I blew thru the entire first book in one long weekend

Gr8 advice tbh 💞 for me it's also helped to just physically move locations, not feel like I'm locked into a desk chair but just pick up a synth and take it to the couch or the floor or wherever. Definitely need to start bringing a lil totem with me tho, luv that

also tho in the same breath I'm way too Taurus and my physical conditions/surroundings have to be ideal for me to even access creative headspace (or maybe that's just the story I tell myself idk)

damn I actually touched my synths for the first time since moving (about a month ago now) and it felt good 😩 easy to fall out of creative practice but the muscle memory is still there, just gotta find ways to lay my hands on the tools

Finally just started 9 Sols (after wanting to for a long time) and holy shiiiiit easily one of the most deeply sickening games I've picked up in a minute ⛩️ the art direction, the smoothness of gameplay, the world building (!) and I'm only like an hour in, I see what all the reviews were about now

fully feel free to disagree obvi, but as a dj (and producer/musician myself) I just feel rly sensitive to the f l o w of a body of sound, and being carried on a very intentional journey. Twigs is an incredible artist so I trust she does have intention with the order, it's just not my journey maybe
