i thought it was the gpu at first but turns out the motherboard bios can affect whether your gpu works or not!! i can use blender again without the software crashing and killing my pc in the middle of working again

i had a prebuilt so i had to email the manufacturers for the bios file but if you have a retail mobo, you can probably just download it directly from the manufacturer

haven’t kept up with any previous skeets you’ve made about this but i recently updated the bios of my motherboard (easy, fast, simple) after a quick backup of the most important files and it saved me $$$ not having to replace the mobo+gpu
