I just met with Mohsen Mahdawi where he’s being held in Vermont.

"Maybe Republicans will save us" is not an adequate strategy for this moment!

Let’s not pretend this is some complex legal question only special elites like JD Vance can understand. Everyone can see what Trump and Musk are claiming power to do — raze the federal bureaucracy to the ground in contravention of the congressional statutes that build, regulate, and protect it.

So much evidence mounting that this is, in fact, a coup. The courts won’t save us.

Vance is pushing idea that Trump is a king with unchecked power, not even accountable to courts and the rulings of judges. This is setting up the Trump administration to break with court rulings, creating a constitutional crisis and pushing the US into full blown dictatorship.

It was always apparent but now it's increasingly undeniable that all these 20-something DOGE employees were chosen not *in spite* of inadequate vetting but *because* they would not pass vetting. Trump & Musk chose the people who seemed the most willing to commit illegal acts on their behalf.
