I like Ironsworn a lot for a story outline because of the narrative weight of setting oaths and fulfilling them.

I think that's the speed bump here (and with solo games). To have a satisfying story you need an arc. Solo games often lack that structure.

None particularly. I like all sorts but tend to lean away from horror.

What if play solo game... Then, what if write story use solo game as outline....

I just caught Pippin and Thumbelina cuddling for the first time today!

Earlier this week, I got a male fancy mouse (Pippin) to keep my female deer mouse (Thumbie) company. She'd been showing signs of stress, and I thought a friend would help.

Y'all, IDK what's up, but I haven't really enjoyed anything I've eaten in a while. Like...I can acknowledge that it tastes decent & I usually like it. But it's all just...empty emotion & no dopamine.

So, I guess if you have any recipes you love, send em my way. I'd like to get food passion back.

I continue as I was. Sometimes I take time to be where the small animals are. I've always found them to be beautiful, magical, & interesting as they attend to their lives. I'm glad they enjoy my company because I've enjoyed theirs. When I notice a need or something they like, I provide what I can.

I wave hello then continue as I was. It doesn't matter that I now know something is judging me. I was already doing my best.

I suppose occasionally I'll ask if the entity needs/ wants something or is aware of another simulation participant that needs/ wants something? Maybe some pasta or a hug?

"You don't find yourself; you build yourself," is a quote that's been clinging in the crevices of my brain today. Yeah it's from a insta vid, but it summarizes something I've been struggling to say succinctly for a while now. There's more intentional design in self evolution than just discovery.

I haven't left my property in 10 days. That was to go to the doctor. I won't leave again probably for a few more days yet. That excursion will be to get some new pets, drop off returns at UPS, and leave a donation box at Goodwill (and maybe do some thrifting too).

I strive to be cozy and comfy. If I'm leaving my house, I have carefully weighed the expedition against watching anime and drinking hot cocoa in bed while being cuddled by my dog. That being the case, I rarely leave my house.
