What's your favourite flower?
Mine's the Vinca or Periwinkle.
It's not just a lovely long-blooming plant. A few years ago the Madagascan Periwinkle saved my life!
The Vinblastine chemotherapy drug I was given to treat my lymphoma is made from this plant.

Had you noticed I'd been quiet for a couple of days or so?

My mum-in-law had a fall, but we've got her out of hospital "corridor care" and the staff were amazing! She's got a shiner of a black eye but is home and recovering nicely.
So I can say "Hi!" again !

This week, while a Michelangelo sketch of a foot was sold for £16.9m, I was exploring the textures of bubbles and metallic leaf. The “gold” leaf sheets were 86% copper/14% zinc. Copper exposed to oxygen develops Verdigris, a green patina. So I will be sealing the pieces with varnish!
